Boilers - Comef

Our Boilers

Comef is able to offer different types of steam generators and hot or overheated water generators depending on the fuels to be used, the plant requirements and the customer’s process.

Boilers for energy recovery of waste and biomass or fueled by traditional fuels, with vertical development, horizontal development, water pipes or smoking pipes, with diathermic oil, integrated on furnace or downstream of adiabatic sections, for hot water production , superheated water, saturated steam, superheated steam, for electric and / or thermal generation, are among those offered by Comef.

Reliable and innovative accessory components fit our boilers: efficient ash removal systems, highly automated cleaning systems, equipment for rapid maintenance interventions, remote fuel supply and transport systems, supervision and control system.

  • Fossil fuel boilers
  • Recovery boilers gas turbines downstream
  • Biomass/waste Boilers
  • Diathermic oil steam generators
  • Fueled by methane gas, petroleum derivatives, coal dust or biomass
  • Steam production for electric and / or thermal services including district heating / cooling
  • Heat generation with diathermic fluids
  • With natural or forced circulation

HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) is the term used to identify water tube recovery boilers inserted in cogeneration cycles with turbogas or “clean” process fumes. This steam generator, specific for the recovery of the thermal energy of the gas turbine exhaust fumes, provides the thermodynamic connection between the gas turbines and the steam turbines in a combined cycle thermoelectric plant. Each HRSG solution is to meet the needs of the customer according to the criterion of the widest operating flexibility.

FEATURES:

  • From one to three pressure levels up to the maximum pressure and steam temperature conditions
  • With or without re-heater
  • Natural circulation
  • Cold casing
  • Boiler suspended from the structure
  • Specific design for cyclical exercise
  • With or without post-combustion and / or operation in “fresh air” conditions with ventilated

European Directive 2009/28/EC, taken from all national legislations, defines biomass as the “biodegradable fraction of products, waste and residues of biological origin coming from agriculture, forestry and related industries, fishing and aquaculture, as well as the biodegradable part of industrial and urban waste (MSW / RDF / SSF)”.

Our boilers are powered by biomass/waste to generate useful steam, through Rankine cycles, to the production of electric energy and heat (cogeneration or trigeneration), destined for civil or industrial use (district heating / cooling).

Heat transfer oil heaters can be realized by means of concentric helical coils or by multitubular structure, peripherally closed by skincasing, membranes, and refractories where foreseen.

The heat exchange between the combustion fumes and the oil takes place in countercurrent, allowing high efficiency to be achieved.

The heaters are equipped with a self-supporting base on which the oil circulation pump, the control panels and the control and regulation equipment are housed.

FEATURES:

  • Compact design
  • Fully equipped
  • Integrated control and security system
  • Gas recirculation systems
  • Air preheaters
  • Tailored size burners
  • Evaporators for steam production
